This is your invitation to reset.
Life pulls us in every direction, and it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters. For some, the next step is slowing down. For others, it’s stepping up. Seek Weeks is our chance to recalibrate, dig deep, and take bold steps toward the life God designed for us. Together, we’ll gather around tables for a season of prayer, reflection, and action. No distractions. No fluff. Just honest moments with God and community. Wherever you are, it’s time to let go of what’s holding you back and step into what God has for you.
30 Day Fast & Pray
-
Throughout January, Joy Church will dedicate 30 days to fasting and prayer. Fasting is voluntarily abstaining from food (or other activities) to focus on God through prayer. During Seek Weeks, we’re uniting as a church to seek God’s guidance, renewal, and blessings for our lives and mission. Everyone is encouraged to sign up for one specific day to fast and pray, ensuring the whole month is covered. While you’re welcome to fast for additional days, please only select one day to ensure we fill every day of the month. Fasting and praying can fit into your everyday life—you can fast and pray while at work, school, or handling your usual responsibilities. Let’s seek God together, trusting Him to move powerfully in our lives and church!

Each person signs up for one specific day to fast and pray, ensuring the entire month is covered. While you’re welcome to fast for additional days if you feel led, our goal is for everyone to participate on one chosen day.
-
Yes! Fasting doesn’t mean stopping your daily activities. You can fast and pray during your regular workday or while managing other responsibilities. Use breaks or quiet moments to pray and seek God.
After service ends the real time in relationships begin. Some people gather together for provided bagels and coffee, others hang out around the church, still others make plans to spend the day together. In all the things, we walk through life together and want to walk together with you.
-
Complete Fast: Only water.
Partial Fast: Skip meals or specific foods.
Non-Food Fast: Choose what feels meaningful and manageable for you. If fasting from food isn’t safe for health reasons, consider fasting other distractions. The goal is to generate a “hunger” or sense of desire within you and place in on God in prayer
-
Dedicate your day to prayer, Scripture, and seeking God. Pray for personal growth, Joy Church’s mission, and the needs of our community. Let your fast be a time of spiritual focus and renewal.
We welcome everyone who has put their faith in Jesus to celebrate Communion with us, whether you regularly attend Joy Church or not. In line with the Scriptures (1st Cor. 11:27-29) we ask that only believers partake in Holy Communion and that each believer examine their own heart before receiving it.

Assessments & Surveys
These surveys are designed to help us get to know you better—where you’re thriving, where you might need support, and how we can grow together as a church. You’ll also find tools to explore your spiritual gifts and personality, helping you discover how you’re uniquely wired and how you can make an impact. Take a few minutes to share your thoughts and take the next step forward.
