Joy Church is a young church for a real neighborhood, planted in Shirley in 2023. We're for Long Island, here for the long haul, figuring out together what it looks like to follow Jesus in 2026.

Do I have to be a Christian to come to Joy Church?

Not at all.

Anyone is welcome here. Whether you're exploring faith for the first time, returning after years away, or you've been following Jesus a long time, you belong at the table. Come as a neighbor. Bring your questions.

What should I wear?

Whatever's comfortable. Jeans, work boots, a hoodie, a dress. You'll fit right in. We're not a fashion show, we're a family. Come as you are.

What do I do with my kids?

Bring 'em. We've got baby and toddler nurseries plus Sunday school for ages 5 to 11, with secure check-in and the whole thing. Newborns are always welcome to stay with you.

How long is the service?

About 70 minutes. Loud singing, a real sermon straight from the Bible, and communion most weeks. You'll be out in plenty of time for lunch.

I don't speak much English. ¿Puedo venir?

¡Claro que sí! Todavía no tenemos un servicio en español, pero hay familias latinas entre nosotros y queremos conocerte. Ven este domingo y pregunta por nosotros en la puerta. (Yes, of course. We don't have a Spanish service yet, but there are Latino families among us and we would love to meet you.)

Where do I park?

Right out front on the Parkway. Free and easy, no circling the block. Look for someone waving you in, and we'll point you to the door.

Is it just Sundays?

Nope. Midweek meets Wednesdays at 7 and Good Questions meets Fridays at noon. Most weeks there's a meal, a project, or a living room in the mix too. The church is a lot more than a service.

We're right on William Floyd, south of the LIE, just below the Mobil and the 7-Eleven. You can't miss the building. There's coffee on, and somebody at the door who's been waiting to meet you.
